Our client has been providing bespoke joinery services internationally for over 55 years from their headquarters in Portadown. Our client has a deserved reputation as a quality player in its chosen markets, providing high-end bespoke fit-out and manufacturing services to Luxury Hospitality, Marine Outfitters, Super Prime Residentials, Education, Commercial Offices, and Themed Attractions. Due to continued growth, they have a new opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based at their Head Office in Portadown, Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland.

You will be involved in the commercial management of various diverse and high-end projects and work with the Project Management team in a client-facing role. A typical day will include:

  • Preparation and submission of valuations.
  • Procurement and management of sub-contractor accounts.
  • Collating and administering subcontractor documents.
  • Review of main contract documents and providing contractual advice to the project team.
  • Preparation of Monthly CVR/Cost Reports and final accounts.
  • Value engineering and risk management control.

You will be a self-managed professional who is goal and deadline-driven, with great technical ability to interrogate the various design, contractual, and technical documents. You will be competent at identifying commercial risks and opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • You must possess a relevant third-level qualification such as Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of three years' post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • You must be an articulate yet critical thinker and problem solver with strong technical ability.
  • You must have strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
