Location: Eastcroft Depot, Nottingham
Contract: Temporary | Hours: 37 per week

Becky at JT Recruit would like to hear from you, as she is working with a local authority in Nottingham who are looking to appoint Public Realm Operatives to join the hardworking trades team. This is a varied and active role where no two days are the same!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collecting and handling commercial waste around the city
- Using powered tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Operating vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes (valid licence required)
- Performing basic mechanical checks on vehicles
- Completing tasks using electronic work devices
- Engaging with customers and the public in a positive, professional way
What We’re Looking For:
- Physically fit – able to lift, push, pull and walk long distances in all weather
- A valid driving licence and confidence driving larger vehicles
- Comfortable using hand tools and powered equipment
- A team player with a can-do attitude and initiative
- Good communication skills for dealing with colleagues and the public
- Flexible with early starts, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Willing to follow Standard Operating Procedures and safety guidelines
- Open to training and development opportunities
