Site Manager (Children’s Residential Unit) – Mansfield

Hours: 5 hours per day, 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (including a ½ hour unpaid lunch break)
Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour
Contract: Temporary position – may be extended for the right candidate
Location: Children’s Residential Unit, Mansfield
Reports to: Property Services

Purpose of the Role

To manage the residential site on behalf of Property Services, ensuring that the premises are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. The postholder will work closely with the residential team to support a safe and comfortable environment for children and staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with the residential team to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Carry out and/or coordinate minor repairs and maintenance tasks across the site.

Monitor and ensure that all statutory building compliance checks (e.g., fire safety, water hygiene, electrical testing) are completed and recorded accurately.

Liaise with contractors and Property Services for larger maintenance or repair work.

*

Conduct regular site inspections to identify and report potential hazards or maintenance needs.

*

Ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working order.

*

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, compliance checks, and inspections.

*

Support the residential team in promoting a safe, positive environment for children and staff.

Person Specification

Essential:

Basic maintenance and repair skills (e.g., plumbing, joinery, decorating).

Understanding of health and safety requirements in a residential or educational setting.
