The predicted salary is between 25 - 27 £ per hour.
Plumbers mate required for my well established client based, covering the West Midlands area. You are required to travel to and work at various locations within the UK as the Company shall reasonably require for the proper performance of your duties.
SALARY: £12.21 - £13.00 per hour (£25,396 - £27,040 pa)
HOURS: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Summary of Duties: To assist with boiler, plumbing & drainage installations, maintenance and repairs on domestic and commercial properties ensuring optimal performance.
Main Duties:
- Support the team in diagnosing plumbing issues and providing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with experienced plumbers or team leaders to learn techniques and best practices in plumbing.
- Assist with the day-to-day responsive maintenance, service and repairs of pipes & plumbing fixtures and systems as instructed.
- Ensure that all items of clients furnishings are always protected.
- Ensure that all works and repairs are completed safely and in accordance with current codes and practices maintaining a clean working environment.
- Abide by all client rules and regulations whilst on site (copy available upon request).
- Ensure when purchasing materials, a ‘best value and cost-effective approach’ is sought.
- Maintain and keep up to date all training required to carry out the role.
- Accurately complete all relevant documentation associated with the duties and ensure the prompt return to the office of all relevant information in relation to the daily tasks.
- Where a Company vehicle is provided, ensure that it is used in accordance with the Company’s current policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all Company property, i.e. motor vehicle, uniform, tools etc. are operated safely, kept clean and in good order and tested when required to maintain the safe working of all plumbing systems.
- Adhere to the Company policies and procedures, handbook and Health & Safety.
Essential:
- 1 year plumbing experience within the commercial sector.
- Awareness of Health & Safety and the need for safe methods of working.
- Highly motivated to succeed with a good attention to detail.
- Flexible approach: due to travel aspect, this is a mobile position that will involve travelling to multiple sites across the West Midlands as well as some wider travel as required.
- Ability to work additional hours over and above contracted hours if and when required, where overtime would be payable.
- Promote a positive and professional attitude to all customers and staff.
- Self-motivated, prepared and willing to learn on the job and able to work under own initiative as well as within a team.
- Willing to undertake further training/development within the post as required.
- The ability to communicate effectively with tenants and other members of the public.
- Full UK (clean) driving Licence.
Qualifications Required:
- Recognised plumbing apprenticeship and/or qualification i.e NVQ level 2 Plumbing and/or City & Guilds.
