Job Description
This can involve manual handling large wheelchairs and loading them on and off the minibuses. You will be dealing with a range of challenging behaviours potentially on a daily basis.\\n\\nContinuity is a vital part of the service we provide and we endeavour to keep the same driver and passenger assistant on the vehicle.\\n\\nIn summary, the role involves the following tasks:\\n\\n * Undertake all driving duties in allocated vehicles as instructed by PTS office team\\n\\n * Pick up service users and transport them to their point of destination using the vehicle in a safe, secure and caring manner.\\n\\n * Take all reasonable steps to prevent service users from causing harm to themselves and/or others.\\n\\n * Complete all paperwork as requested.\\n\\n * Be punctual, adaptable and reliable.\\n\\nWho are we looking for?\\n\\nProfessionalism and a good work ethic are an essential part of our service.\\n\\nWe expect our drivers to:\\n\\n * Respect all clients and treat them with sensitivity and dignity at all times.\\n\\n * Be flexible in working contracted hours over a standard working day and over a 5-day working week on a rota.\\n\\n * You need to be very patient, always calm, resilient and understanding of the needs of SEN children and vulnerable adults\\n\\n * Physically fit candidates\\n\\n * Resilient – understanding that passengers may spit, hit, punch
