Prestigious engineering company based in Loughborough are looking for a Production & Progress Planner to join them. Based at Head Office, this position is pivotal within the company, co-ordinating, planning, monitoring, progressing company orders and parts, and liaising with all departments including customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place equipment and component orders with suppliers in the SAGE system.
  • Monitoring delivery dates to ensure that deliveries are made on time.
  • Keep in contact with suppliers.
  • Attending weekly production meetings.
  • Work with Workshop Manager to ensure any issues with delivery dates are quickly addressed.
  • Convey information on potential hold ups to Project Engineer and advise customers of any change in delivery dates.
  • Manage and monitor stocks.
  • Raising invoices, monitoring payment due dates and handling delivery notes.
  • Reports to the Project Engineer.
  • Work closely with Project Engineer and Workshop.

Job Requirements

  • A working knowledge of SAGE.
  • Computer literate, interested in engineering and working with online databases (engineering knowledge is not required).
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to work independently, be proactive, practical and be in regular contact with suppliers to keep on top of the current delivery situation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good accuracy and good administrative skills.
  • Willing to work overtime both during the week and Saturday mornings if required (paid time and a half).
  • The permanent right to work in the UK.

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday: 0830hrs-1730hrs, Friday: 0830hrs-1500hrs with a 60 mins lunch break.
