Our public sector client are looking for a Landscape Operative to join them on a temporary basis.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 37 hours per week
Requirements:
- Experience in landscaping, construction sites, or plant operation required
- Full driving licence preferred (not essential)
- Any relevant construction experience considered
Role Purpose: To carry out landscaping, grounds maintenance, and construction work to a high standard, supporting the development and upkeep of parks, green spaces, and outdoor facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks to required standards and timescales
- Undertake hard and soft landscaping projects in line with drawings and specifications
- Construct, develop, and maintain outdoor sports areas (natural and artificial surfaces)
- Assist with planting and maintenance of trees and shrubs across highways and open spaces
- Support the safe application of chemicals in line with regulations
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and relevant legislation
- Deliver good customer service and promote positive use of parks and green spaces
- Work within agreed timeframes and budgets
