- Knighton Park Depot
- Evington Park Depot
- Abbey Park Depot
A full driving licence is essential
Mondays to Thursday 7.30 - 3.30pm with half hour unpaid lunch.
Fridays 7.30 - 3.00 with half hour unpaid lunch.
Key Job Activities
- Maintain horticultural features on green infrastructure, Parks, Housing and Highways land
- Prepare and maintain sports features, including artificial surfaces
- Maintain hard landscape features, including buildings
- Develop new hard and soft landscaping features
- Operate and maintain hand and mechanical specialist equipment used in the maintenance of features.
- Drive and operate a tractor
- Prepare and apply chemicals e.g. herbicides, fungicides, insecticides etc
- Keep sites clean and tidy
- Provide advice and support to customers using the facilities
- Complete routine paperwork
- Report any issues identified to the Team Leader
- Carry out other miscellaneous duties associated with the role
Experience
- Experience in either horticulture or groundsman ship
- Experience of working directly with customers
- Experience of using horticultural specialist equipment and chemicals
- Qualification in horticulture, groundsman ship or ecology
- Formal training in horticulture, groundsman ship and/or ecology
- Knowledge of Health & Safety issues relating to area of work and HASWA
- Valid driving licence
