Job Title: Kitchen Domestic Assistant Location: Newark Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM (20 hours per week) Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Kitchen Domestic Assistant to support our Cook in the preparation and serving of meals within a local authority setting. This is a part-time role offering weekday hours with no weekend work, ideal for candidates looking for daytime employment in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: * Assist the Cook in meal preparation and service * Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment * Complete daily cleaning schedule and associated paperwork * Wash pots, operate and empty the dishwasher * Empty bins and mop floors * Ensure all kitchen areas remain tidy and well-organised * Follow health and safety guidelines and food hygiene protocols Requirements: * Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential) * Strong attention to cleanliness and detail * Dependable and punctual with a positive work ethic * Ability to work well as part of a team * Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential Benefits: * Regular weekday hours * Friendly working environment * Opportunity to support a valued community service
