HGV Class 1 Driver – Chesterfield (S44)

Location: Chesterfield, S44 Position: HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver Start Time: Around 06:00 Work: Pre-booked shifts

We are currently looking for reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to cover work for a busy operation in the Chesterfield (S44) area.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular, planned work, with shifts booked in advance rather than relying on last-minute calls.

The Role

  • Driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles
  • Approximately 06:00 starts
  • Providing planned cover for existing drivers
  • Deliveries and collections as required
  • Completing vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy
  • Completing all relevant delivery paperwork and electronic PODs
  • Following company procedures and drivers' hours regulations
  • Maintaining a professional attitude when dealing with customers and site staff

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience
  • Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
  • Reliable, punctual and professional approach
  • Good communication skills
  • A good understanding of vehicle safety and daily checks
