HGV Class 1 Driver – Chesterfield (S44)

We are currently looking for reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to cover work for a busy operation in the Chesterfield (S44) area.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular, planned work, with shifts booked in advance rather than relying on last-minute calls.
The Role
- Driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles
- Approximately 06:00 starts
- Providing planned cover for existing drivers
- Deliveries and collections as required
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy
- Completing all relevant delivery paperwork and electronic PODs
- Following company procedures and drivers' hours regulations
- Maintaining a professional attitude when dealing with customers and site staff
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Good communication skills
- A good understanding of vehicle safety and daily checks
