Our public sector client are looking for a PA (Committee Support and PA to Director) to join them. Location – Glenfield.
Job Purpose
Provide proactive, high-level executive support to the Director, managing their diary, communications, and priorities. Act as a key coordination point across a large, complex department with a £350m budget covering adult social care, community services, adult learning, cultural services, and the records office.
Key Responsibilities
- Diary & Inbox Management: Proactively manage a complex diary and high-volume inbox, ensuring priorities are met and actions progressed.
- Gatekeeping & Coordination: Act as first point of contact, redirecting issues appropriately and coordinating with senior managers and their PAs.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Arrange meetings and liaise with internal leaders, external partners, providers, and elected councillors (including lead members).
- Complaints & Case Tracking: Monitor complaints, queries, and escalations, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution while maintaining oversight of key risks and pressures.
- Line Management: Manage two PAs supporting Assistant Directors, ensuring consistency, performance, and effective workload distribution.
- Governance Support: Prepare and coordinate committee reports in line with formal approval processes (subject to potential future change).
- Confidentiality & Compliance: Handle sensitive information appropriately and comply with GDPR and organisational standards.
