My client is part of a worldwide firm, with a small site based in Loughborough. They are currently looking to recruit a General Manager to join them on a temporary basis, which will be reviewed on a month by month basis.
Job Role: Reporting directly to the Global Channel Manager and Directors, your role is responsible for overseeing the organisation's daily operations and managing the business aspects of the UK base. Your primary duties include reviewing and implementing operational procedures, assisting departmental heads and managing company finances. The General Manager maintains overall responsibility for all areas of the business. You will aim for operational excellence and achieve KPIs in line with the company's expectation.

Main Duties:
- Oversee and direct local staff
- Implementing office and warehouse procedures and policies
- Improve, implement and control ERP-System Processes
- Preparing monthly figures to HQ in Germany
- Reporting directly to the HQ in Germany
- Support and communicate to external accounting and HR advisor
- Assist external account auditor for annual statement and manage the P&L
- Oversee the management of supply chain and monitor and maintain stock levels
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, a high level of personal responsibility and a confident manner towards internal and external stakeholders
- Structured, goal-oriented way of working with a high degree of implementation strength and team spirit
- Excellent IT skills (especially with Microsoft Office)
- Familiarity with ERP systems, knowledge of SAGE is an advantage
- Hands-on mentality and self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent telephone manner with excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and work as part of a small team
This is a full time role, working Monday - Friday, 09.00 - 17.00. Salary: dependant on experience.
