Our public sector client are looking for a Finance Assistant to join them on a temporary basis. Location – Hybrid working, with ideally 1-2 days in the office in Coalville.

Purpose of the Role

To provide effective administrative and financial support to the Finance Team, contributing to the efficient delivery of financial services across the organisation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Processing and monitoring the progress of insurance claims on behalf of the organisation.
  • Providing support across all aspects of Finance Team duties, including:
  • Data analysis and research support
  • Accurate data input and maintenance of financial records
  • Assisting with the production of budget monitoring reports and statistical returns
  • Supporting the development of the annual budget
  • Assisting with end-of-year financial close-down activities
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of the annual budget book.
  • Undertaking general office and administrative duties, including:
    • Collection and opening of post
    • Filing, photocopying, and printing
    • Stationery requisitions and ordering office consumables
    • Room bookings and travel arrangements

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Carry out all duties efficiently and effectively.
    • Always view the service through the eyes of the customer and make suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
