HGV II Driver required for our well established client to work out of their Sheffield depot.

Based: S6 area of Sheffield

Working hours: 7am - 4pm, Monday - Friday, 37hrs per week.

The candidate will need a DBS, Drug & Alcohol test and DVLA check. Must have:

  • Valid UK Driving Licence (cat C1), Driver CPC qualifications and a digital tachograph card.
  • Appropriate licence to tow with a 7.5t (C1.e).
  • Previous driving experience is required.

Duties:

  • Deliver a broad range of goods, materials, SLG, and towed plant.
  • Provide a broad range of services from site delivery to engineers, including but not limited to stock checking and put away across warehousing and transport functions for several nominated delivery points.
  • Maintain an effective and compliant operation across all responsible activities and ensure adherence to all legal, operational and SHE procedures.
  • Provision of first class safe, efficient and customer focused delivery and collection services within the network.
  • Promote teamwork, continuous improvement and a customer focussed culture.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through visible proactive, consistent and influential behaviours.
  • Work within a team, promoting the philosophy of customer centricity and safe working.
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Delivering and putting away of materials, stock checking at tertiary stores.
  • Delivering and stock putting away into lockers, spare part shelving of materials, engineer orders, PPE and hand tools/equipment.
