Our public sector client is looking for a Planning Support Officer to join the team on a temporary basis.

Location: Coalville

Pay Rate: £13.75ph

Purpose of the Role

To provide administrative and technical support to the Planning Team, assisting with planning applications, enforcement cases, and enquiries.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the processing of planning applications, enforcement cases, and related enquiries.
  • Use the Councils systems (Uniform and IDOX) to register, validate, record, scan, and manage planning and enforcement information.
  • Carry out consultation procedures and generate decision notices.
  • Prepare Planning Committee agendas and presentations.
  • Provide general administrative support, including ordering supplies and processing invoices.

General Responsibilities

  • Deliver a customer-focused service and identify improvements.
  • Work efficiently and maintain high professional standards.
  • Participate in training and appraisal processes.
  • Comply with health and safety policies.
  • Promote equality and diversity in all activities.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the role.
  • Assist in emergencies if required.
