My client is a well-established, successful and expanding electrical compliance contractor, and they are looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join their growing Electrical Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or contracts manager looking to take the next step in their career.

As an Electrical Contracts Manager, you will play a key role within the Electrical Operations team, managing and delivering a range of commercial electrical compliance and service contracts from start to finish. They operate primarily within the commercial sector, covering schools, office buildings, industrial factories, warehouses, public buildings and hospitals.

Operational & Contract Management

  • Managing a team of 10 field-based engineers.
  • Acting as the day-to-day operational lead for your field-based team.
  • Liaising with clients, on-site staff and specialist subcontractors.
  • Ensuring all works meet required quality and compliance standards.
  • Managing labour allocation, material supply and general contract requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve contract efficiency and implementing improvements.
  • Attending client meetings to discuss requirements, progress and performance.
  • Carrying out surveys to support estimating.
  • Providing technical support and problem-solving to engineers in the field.
  • Supporting the delivery of electrical compliance services including EICRs, emergency lighting testing, thermal imaging and remedial works.
  • Supporting the wider management team with people-related matters.
  • Participating in HR disciplinary meetings where performance, conduct or operational issues relate to your team, providing factual input and supporting fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.

You will be an experienced electrical professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage multiple commercial contracts simultaneously.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Contracts/Project Manager.
  • Experience delivering electrical compliance services (EICRs, emergency lighting, thermal imaging, remedials).
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
  • Electrical Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391 or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and IT skills (Word, Excel).
  • Experience managing commercial-sector electrical contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the regions we operate in.

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. No weekend working.
