We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Goods In Operative to join my client's busy warehouse team on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse experience who is looking for a long-term position with opportunities for development.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against delivery notes
- Unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Using handheld scanners to accurately book stock into the warehouse
- Inspecting goods for damage and reporting any discrepancies
- Moving stock to designated storage locations
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Keeping the goods area clean, organised and safe
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
What They're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Goods In or Warehouse Operative role is preferred
- Experience using handheld barcode scanners
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good level of physical fitness
Training & Development: The successful candidate should be open to training on both Counterbalance and Reach Truck forklifts if offered a permanent position. Previous forklift licences are not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
