The Role
- Managing daily transport and warehouse operations
- Supervising drivers and operational staff
- Monitoring routes and responding to delays or issues
- Communicating with customers regarding delivery updates
- Ensuring compliance with driver hours, food safety, and company procedures
- Managing vehicle incidents, breakdowns, and damage reporting
- Conducting driver briefings and debriefings
- Overseeing loading, unloading, and stock control processes
- Maintaining site security and operational standards
- Handling staff absences, performance issues, and incident reporting
