JT Recruit is looking for reliable, experienced and professional Class 1 HGV Drivers for driving opportunities based in Foston, Derbyshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for regular work, competitive hourly pay and the opportunity to work with an established logistics operation on an ongoing basis
The Role
As a Class 1 HGV Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Driving Class 1 articulated vehicles safely and professionally.
- Completing deliveries and collections according to the planned schedule.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
- Ensuring loads are secure and all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
- Following road safety regulations, drivers’ hours rules and working time regulations.
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Communicating effectively with transport planners, the depot and customers.
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
Pay & Working Hours
- Days normally starts 06.00 pay £16.00 per hour

- Previous Class 1 HGV driving experience.
- A good understanding of drivers’ hours and road transport legislation.
- A safe, responsible and professional approach to driving.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow delivery instructions.
- A reliable approach to attendance, timekeeping and vehicle safety.
