HGV Class 2 Driver Monday – Friday, typically 06.00 starts £16.00 per hour Becky at JT Recruit is recruiting on behalf of a valued client for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver based in Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and collections, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with all transport legislation and company procedures. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly. Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle in accordance with current road traffic regulations. Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally. Operate tail lifts and pump trucks to load and unload deliveries safely. Ensure all goods are transported securely and handled with care. Complete all delivery documentation accurately. Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Tachograph regulations. Maintain excellent customer service standards at all delivery and collection points. Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures. Keep vehicles clean and roadworthy. Report any incidents, delays, accidents, or compliance issues to the transport team. Essential Requirements Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence. Valid Driver CPC qualification. Digital Tachograph Card. Experience using tail lifts and pump trucks. Good understanding of driver hours and transport legislation. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
