JT Recruit is proud to be working in partnership with a Local Authority in Derby to recruit two Carelink Operators to join their dedicated Carelink team on a temporary basis.
About the Service
Carelink is a 24-hour, TSA-accredited emergency monitoring and response service that provides vital support to older and vulnerable people, helping them live safely and independently in their own homes. Using telecare alarms and monitoring technology, customers can access support at the touch of a button, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service offers reassurance, safety, and peace of mind to both customers and their families.
The Role
As a Carelink Operator, you will be the first point of contact for customers who require assistance, providing a professional, calm, and compassionate response to every call.
- Handle incoming calls through a specialist computerised monitoring system.
- Respond to emergency, welfare, and support calls from vulnerable individuals.
- Assess situations quickly and arrange the appropriate assistance when required.
- Liaise with emergency services, responders, family members, and support networks.
- Maintain accurate records and customer information.
- Create referrals and process equipment requests.
- Monitor and support Lone Workers using the Carelink service.
- Provide reassurance and support during potentially challenging or distressing situations.
What We’re Looking For
- Have experience within a call centre, customer service, or telephone-based environment.
- Understand the needs of older and vulnerable people.
- Possess excellent communication and listening skills.
- Remain calm, empathetic, and professional under pressure.
- Have strong IT and data-entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Are reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
Working Hours
37 hours per week
Night shifts: 11:00pm – 7:00am
Based at The Gatehouse, Kedleston Road, Derby
On-site parking available
