Becky at JT Recruit is looking for an experienced and qualified Asbestos Surveyor to join a dedicated property compliance team based in Matlock on a 6 month temporary basis. This is your chance to make a real impact by supporting statutory asbestos compliance across a wide range of public buildings.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality asbestos surveys, manage risk data, and help ensure all properties remain compliant with CAR 2012 and relevant HSE guidance.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Management and Refurbishment/Demolition (R&D) surveys in line with HSG264
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and on-site duty holders
- Assist with auditing, quality-checking surveys, and updating asbestos registers
- Support the management of asbestos removal frameworks
- Respond to asbestos-related queries and provide compliance advice
- BOHS P402 (essential) | P405 (desirable)
- Experience in surveying a variety of building types and ages
- Solid understanding of Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Strong IT and reporting skills (Excel, Word, database systems)
- Temporary contract - immediate start available
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Hybrid working - travel across Derbyshire will be required
