We’re looking for an experienced Operator Trading Manager, to take ownership of key global operator relationships across roaming, messaging and IoT. In this role, you’ll work at the heart of our connectivity business, delivering high-value partnerships that underpin international services and emerging technologies. You’ll apply your specialist expertise to structure and execute commercial deals, ensuring they are commercially sound, operationally deliverable and aligned to our broader strategy.

Working with leading telecommunications operators worldwide, you’ll negotiate commercial and technical terms within established frameworks, balancing pricing, commitments and delivery requirements to achieve strong business outcomes. You’ll act as a primary interface between external partners and internal teams, translating complex agreements into operational reality, ensuring services perform as expected, and resolving issues as they arise. From managing traffic flows and revenue performance to handling escalations and disputes, you’ll play a key role in protecting and optimising partnership value. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware telecoms specialist who thrives in a dynamic and international environment.

You’ll gain exposure across a broad range of service, including roaming, messaging and IoT connectivity, while building deep expertise in operator partnerships, interconnect and wholesale commercial models.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering roaming, messaging and IoT operator deals, applying specialist knowledge of technologies, commercial models and operational requirements
  • Negotiating commercial and technical terms with operator partners within defined frameworks
  • Managing day-to-day relationships with global operator partners as the primary point of contact
  • Translating partner strategy into executable deals and measurable operational outcomes
  • Leading regular business reviews to track KPIs, traffic commitments and financial performance
  • Monitoring performance (traffic, revenue, cash flow, discounts) and taking action where needed
  • Managing operational and commercial issues including disputes, service escalations and blocking scenarios
  • Working closely with internal technical, billing and delivery teams to ensure agreements are fully supported
  • Communicating commercial and technical terms clearly across both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What we're looking for:

  • Experience within telecommunications, ideally in wholesale, roaming, messaging or interconnect
  • Strong understanding of SMS interworking and/or roaming commercial arrangements
  • Knowledge of IoT connectivity models and associated operational and commercial considerations
  • Familiarity with roaming and messaging technologies and GSMA standards and practices
  • Awareness of SS7 and its relevance to roaming and messaging services
  • Proven commercial negotiation skills and ability to manage partner agreements effectively
  • Strong relationship management skills with confidence engaging external operator partners
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly
  • Strong problem-solving capability, particularly in high-value or complex situations
  • Ability to manage multiple partnerships and priorities in a structured and autonomous way

Benefits:

  • 24 days holiday
  • Pension Scheme
  • Bonus Scheme
  • Fully discounted staff services or cash allowance in lieu
  • Co‑working office spaces available for remote employees
  • Professional Development
  • Recharge Days
