    Full Job Description
    <\/p>

    A skilled Fabrication & Welding Engineer is required to support weekend operations at a leading timber manufacturing facility. This hands -on role offers opportunities to work with advanced equipment and contribute to continual investment in people and technology.
    <\/p>

    Key Responsibilities
    <\/p>

    • Perform fabrication, welding, and repairs to maintain and enhance production machinery
      <\/li>
    • Respond to breakdowns, providing welded or fabricated solutions to minimize downtime
      <\/li>
    • Work with MIG, MAG, and MMA welding processes across various materials
      <\/li>
    • Manufacture and modify components, machine guards, and parts to support plant reliability
      <\/li>
    • Undertake mechanical maintenance tasks, including hydraulics and pneumatics
      <\/li>
    • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
      <\/li><\/ul>

      Candidate Requirements
      <\/p>

      • Proven experience in fabrication and welding in industrial/manufacturing settings
        <\/li>
      • Skilled in MIG, MAG, and MMA welding, able to meet high standards of finish and strength
        <\/li>
      • Mechanical maintenance background (hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, fault -finding)
        <\/li>
      • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
        <\/li>
      • Completion of a recognized Mechanical or Fabrication/Welding Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
        <\/li>
      • Self -motivated and able to work independently on weekend shifts
        <\/li>
      • Strong safety awareness, teamwork, and communication skills
        <\/li><\/ul>

        • Permanent, full -time role
          <\/li>
        • Ability to commute/relocate to Hereford is required
          <\/li>
        • 10 years of experience in MIG/MMA welding required
          <\/li>
        • English language proficiency required
          <\/li>
        • UK work authorisation required
