Design, analyse, and optimise mechanical systems related to diesel-powered generator sets.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and devise corrective actions.
Oversee all mechanical design.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in power generation mechanical engineering.
Ensure compliance with EU/UL standards and regulations pertaining to mechanical systems and safety.
Create and manage the technical drawing library.
Carry out all work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Solid experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the power generation sector.
- Experience with Stage V and Tier 4 Final engine after treatment systems.
- Experience in airflow calculations.
- Experience in heat testing.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with hands-on technical expertise.
- Familiarity with CE/UL engineering standards.
- Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools; experience using Creo would be beneficial.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
