We are looking for a talented and aspiring Systems Accountant to join our highly motivated and passionate finance team in Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career in this newly created role within a vibrant and progressive employee-owned consultancy. The role will allow you to make a real difference to our systems, processes and the management of data. We have a friendly team environment where you will be given the encouragement and tools to grow and progress.
In This Role You Will
- Ensure that our project management system Rapport3 works efficiently and effectively, providing a robust and value-adding system to the business, to support both fee earners and financial reporting
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the system and associated reporting through the management and testing of developments and changes
- Become a system “super user” and go-to person for queries and questions whilst also providing training so that the system can be used to maximum potential
- Ensure that all relevant parties are involved in requests for developments so that we continually add value and ensure best practice throughout the business
- Successfully implement a replacement financial system for Access Dimensions
- Ensure processes and procedures are adequately recorded, tested, and updated
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA) and experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy environment and familiar with project management
- A flexible ‘can do’ attitude and ideally previous experience working across a finance function as systems ‘superuser’
- The ability to communicate effectively with non-finance professionals, work on own initiative, and apply sound judgement
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills covering a wide range of experiences
- Ability to learn quickly and develop relationships whilst working within a highly professional team
- Previous people management experience is an advantage
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per year
