We are seeking a dedicated and hard working Engineer to join our team at our Commercial Laundry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment, fault finding and undertaking repairs.

We require an Engineer with electrical bias and the ability to work on our PM shift (230pm - 1145pm). This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a forward-thinking organisation committed to excellence and continuous improvement. Overtime is available each weekend at 1.5 normal rate of pay.

Duties:

  • Repairs, PPM, diagnostic analysis
  • Analyse existing systems and processes to identify areas for optimisation and enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and management to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of engineering solutions to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of engineering equipment and systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry developments, standards, and best practices to ensure organisational compliance and innovation.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in engineering disciplines relevant to the role (e.g. electrical).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Organised with strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations is desirable.
  • A recognised engineering qualification (e.g., BEng or MEng degree) is essential; additional professional accreditation is advantageous.
  • Experience of working in a commercial laundry is an advantage.

Pay: £18.50 per hour
