Your Role: Reviewing project plans, analysing plan drawings, schematics, specifications and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. Calculating costs, determining the quantity and cost of materials, equipment, and labour required for the project. Preparing and submitting detailed estimates and bids for projects. Preparation and submission of PQQ and ITT documentation. Coordinating with engineers, contractors, manufacturers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements. Identifying potential financial or operational risks and providing strategies to mitigate them. Maintaining detailed records of all estimation documentation and updating them to reflect current conditions. Negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the best prices on materials and equipment. Staying updated with the latest techniques, materials, and costs in the industry to ensure the most accurate estimates.
Your Skills:
- Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar role (minimum 2 years)
- A strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in using CRM software
- Relevant higher level qualification or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver on time
- Experience or qualification in the use of CAD would be preferred
- Experience of using SimPro would be beneficial
Your Hours: Working 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am till 5.30pm.
