Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing and serving as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met and queries are handled promptly and professionally.
- Taking responsibility for the preparation and finalisation of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and bookkeeping with minimal supervision.
- Ensure accurate and timely VAT returns and registration submissions.
- Oversee payroll processes and provide support on compliance.
- Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback to support their development.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal systems and workflows for greater efficiency.
About You:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3 – 5 years post qualified experience in practice.
- Excellent technical skills, with knowledge of UK reporting requirements, including FRS 102, 105 and UK GAAP.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, adhering strictly to reporting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written with ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Audit and personal tax experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Working knowledge of Xero, Sage and CCH.
- Good IT skills, including proficient use of Excel.
