Part Time Estimator - Windows and Glazing - 18 Hours A Week in London

Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/span><\/h3>Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents<\/li>Measure and quantify materials (glass, frames, fixings, sealants, etc.)<\/li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for: Residential and commercial window installations<\/li>Curtain walling, glazing systems, and bespoke glass solutions<\/li><\/ul><\/li>Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and components<\/li>Analyse labour, transport, and installation costs<\/li>Prepare and submit quotations and tender documents<\/li>Work closely with sales, project managers, and clients to clarify requirements<\/li>Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost -saving options<\/li>Maintain records of estimates, revisions, and project costs<\/li>Support contract handover to project delivery teams<\/li><\/ul>Requirements<\/b><\/span><\/h3>Proven experience as an estimator in glazing, windows, or construction<\/li>Strong understanding of: Glass types (toughened, laminated, double glazing, etc.)<\/li>Aluminium/PVC window systems<\/li>Installation methods and site practices<\/li><\/ul><\/li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings<\/li>Strong numerical and analytical skills<\/li>Proficiency in estimating software and Excel<\/li>Good communication and negotiation skills<\/li>High attention to detail and accuracy<\/li><\/ul>Desirable<\/b><\/span><\/h3>Experience with curtain walling or façade systems<\/li>Knowledge of UK building regulations and safety standards<\/li>Background in quantity surveying or construction estimating<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/span>
