Job Title: Gas & Plumbing Engineer

Location: Newcastle / North & South Tyneside

Salary: £38,500 – £45,000 per year (£19.00 per hour)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Gas & Plumbing Engineer to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering excellent service to customers while working independently and occasionally as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out gas engineering and plumbing work to the highest standards.
  • Work independently to meet targets and deadlines, and collaborate with the team when required.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
  • Respond to weekend call-outs on a rota basis (approximately every 4–5 weeks), paid at £33 per day standby and £30 per hour for hours worked.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Time-served Gas Engineer / Plumber.
  • Strong focus on customer service and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Working Hours:

  • Standard hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with occasional flexibility required to complete jobs.
  • Weekend call-out rota with additional pay as listed above.
