Role Overview: As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and installing fire alarm and emergency lighting systems for both commercial and domestic clients. You will also contribute to the smooth running of our operations through various administrative and compliance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and install addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
- Install and replace emergency lighting systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Complete service reports, certificates, and compliance documentation accurately
- Provide technical support and advice to customers
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
- Organise and schedule appointments for inspections and training
- Maintain client records and compliance documentation
- Assist with the preparation of fire safety reports and certificates
- Provide general administrative support to the team
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with both domestic and commercial fire alarm systems, including installation and commissioning
- Proven experience with addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, including installation and fault finding
- At least 3 years’ experience with emergency lighting systems, including installation and replacement
- Good working knowledge of BS 5839 (Parts 1)
