We’re looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant / Junior Accountant to join our growing team and gain hands‑on experience in a supportive environment. You’ll work closely with our Senior Accountants to support clients across a range of industries.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with bookkeeping, data entry, and bank reconciliations
- Preparing and filing VAT returns
- Helping prepare management and financial accounts
- Liaising with clients via phone and email
- General administrative support within the accounts team
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of MTD ITSA returns
What we’re looking for:
- A keen interest in accountancy and finance
- Confident communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks/Xero/FreeAgent is desirable
- willingness to embrace technology and learn new systems
- Organised and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- GCSE’s/A-levels or equivalent (AAT study preferred but not essential)
