Role Overview
A skilled and reliable Drainage Engineer is sought to support the maintenance installation and repair of drainage systems. The position involves hands-on technical work troubleshooting faults and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires a proactive team player capable of managing both independent and collaborative tasks within a close-knit operational team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install maintain and repair drainage components using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Conduct CCTV inspections to identify and diagnose issues within drainage systems.
- Unblock drains using high-pressure water jetting equipment.
- Evaluate existing drainage conditions to recommend improvements or required upgrades.
- Work with colleagues contractors and engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Complete job cards with accurate details regarding labour materials and time spent.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (1 in 3 weeks).
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in drainage operations or a related field (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Sound plumbing knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- CSCS card (preferred).
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
Additional Details
- 40-hour work week required.
- Work is primarily site-based.
- Candidates must be able to commute reliably or plan to relocate to the Lincoln area.
