We are seeking a Security Engineer to join our team, responsible for servicing, troubleshooting and maintaining advanced security systems across various environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic. Any previous knowledge or experience with hardware, electrical systems and in CCTV will be beneficial. Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive security systems incorporating Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Locking Systems, Safes, and Locks
- Servicing of security systems
- Analyse schematics and technical drawings to plan system layouts and installation procedures
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware such as power tools, hand tools, and specialised electrical equipment
- Conduct site surveys to assess construction requirements and mechanical or electrical needs
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to computer hardware, networking, and electrical systems promptly
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless integration of security infrastructure within building projects
- Develop system design documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of security systems to guarantee optimal operation
- Utilise knowledge of computer networking and telecommunication protocols to optimise system performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience or strong knowledge in computer networking, hardware, electrical systems, and telecommunication technology
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction or installation processes is highly desirable
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, Intruder Alarms, Locks, security schematics, and security system design principles
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and other construction-related equipment safely and effectively
- Understanding of electrical wiring standards and schematics for secure installations
- Experience working with system design documentation and troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team on diverse projects
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related fields are advantageous
