Key Responsibilities<\/h1>1. Team Leadership & Office Management<\/h2>Manage and support two estimating teams:<\/p>Supply Only Estimating Office<\/b><\/p>Handles smaller value jobs with fast turnaround.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>Contracts Estimating Office<\/b><\/p>Manages higher value projects where products are supplied and installed.<\/p><\/li>Longer project cycles and more technical requirements.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>Responsibilities include:<\/p>Line management of estimating teams.<\/p><\/li>Conduct regular 1 -to -1 meetings and annual performance appraisals<\/b>.<\/p><\/li>Monitor individual and team performance against targets.<\/p><\/li>Provide coaching, development and training opportunities.<\/p><\/li>Recruit and build the team in line with HR policies.<\/p><\/li>Ensure team members have the tools and support required to focus on revenue -generating work.<\/p><\/li>Address under -performance where necessary through structured support and clear expectations.<\/p><\/li>Maintain a positive, collaborative team culture.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>2. Operational Support<\/h2>Ensure the office operates efficiently so estimating teams can work effectively.<\/p>Responsibilities include:<\/p>Acting as the central contact for office operational needs<\/b>, including IT coordination.<\/p><\/li>Liaising with external IT providers to resolve issues (e.g. internet outages, hardware needs).<\/p><\/li>Ensuring office equipment and systems are maintained.<\/p><\/li>Overseeing general office organisation and functionality.<\/p><\/li>Supporting operational improvements that enhance productivity.<\/p><\/li>Maintaining a professional office environment, including reception and shared spaces.<\/p><\/li>Identifying and implementing process improvements where beneficial.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>3. Environmental, Sustainability & GDPR<\/h2>Maintain and develop company policies and compliance standards.<\/p>Responsibilities include:<\/p>Reviewing and updating environmental and sustainability policies<\/b>.<\/p><\/li>Working with managers annually to identify areas for improvement.<\/p><\/li>Ensuring the company maintains strong standards for client compliance requirements<\/b>.<\/p><\/li>Managing and completing Pre -Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs)<\/b> for clients.<\/p><\/li>Ensuring GDPR policies remain up to date and are followed across the office.<\/p><\/li>Supporting the business in maintaining strong governance and best practice standards.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>4.
