Seeking an experienced EAS Engineer with a strong background in electro‑mechanical systems to support, maintain, and optimize Electronic Article Surveillance solutions across retail operations. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and repair EAS systems (including pedestals, tags, deactivators, antennas, and related hardware) in retail environments.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software‑related issues impacting system performance.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance and system checks to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with store operations and facilities teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Support system upgrades, retrofits, and modifications to enhance security effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service activities, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best industry practices.
- Train and support store personnel in EAS system operation and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Assist with evaluation and testing of new EAS technologies.
Skills & Requirements
- Experience in EAS systems or related security technologies.
- Strong electro‑mechanical background with knowledge of low‑voltage systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in retail environments and understanding of operational challenges.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Effective problem‑solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel between retail sites as needed.
- Relevant certifications in electronics, low‑voltage systems, or security technologies.
- CSCS/ECS Card.
