JT Atkinson & Sons Ltd. is a growing, family‑run, independent builders’ merchant with branches across the North East, Yorkshire, and Cumbria. Dedicated to serving the construction and building trade, we offer a wide range of high‑quality products and services. Our commitment to exceptional customer service ensures a seamless experience for all professionals and DIY enthusiasts who rely on us.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a hunger for sales and a passion for delivering customer service excellence. In particular, you should be able to provide examples of how you can build effective working relationships with customers in order to understand their requirements and ensure the correct products are supplied. Many of our customers return on a daily basis for our products, so it is important you are able to build trust and rapport.

You should also be able to show us how you use initiative to identify sales opportunities and offer advice and solutions to customers, thus maximising profitable sales and margin. Experience in the industry or similar, particularly knowledge of heavy‑side building materials will be a significant advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given to the right person.
