This is a technical role with massive commercial consequences. You won't just design models in a vacuum; you will prototype directly in code (Python/SQL), partner closely with Data Engineering/Technology teams to productionise your builds, and own the tools that allow leadership to stress-test major commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model Ownership & Governance: Act as the custodian of the core profitability and margin models. Ensure data integrity, clear logic validation, and version control so that financial and operational outputs are trusted by default.
  • Prototype & Tech Partnership: Write clean, well-documented, production-ready prototypes. Partner seamlessly with Technology teams to deploy these models into the business smoothly.
  • Drive the Tooling Roadmap: Own and continuously evolve the profitability reporting roadmap, systematically closing gaps in the company's margin understanding as business priorities change.
  • Lead Scenario Analysis: Own and enhance the company’s scenario analyser tool, allowing teams across Pricing, Commercial, and Operations to run fast, reliable sensitivity analysis before making decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and cross-skill one Data Analyst, building a robust, high-performing technical function.
