A highly respected global services business with a strong international brand is seeking a senior Oracle HCM professional to take ownership of its live, enterprise wide HCM platform. This is a hands on operational role, not a project position. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, quality, and continuous improvement of Oracle HCM across a large, multi country footprint.
The Opportunity
You will act as the technical and functional owner of the Oracle HCM landscape, working directly in the system to configure, support, and enhance core HCM capabilities. The role combines deep Oracle expertise with strong operational discipline, controlling demand through a structured ticketing and managed services model. The environment is complex, global, and business critical requiring someone comfortable operating at pace while maintaining strong governance and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oracle HCM Operations & Delivery
- Hands on configuration and support across Core HR, Time & Labor, Absence, Recruiting, Redwood UI, and Journeys
- Direct ownership of live system stability, issue resolution, and approved enhancements
- Translating business requirements into practical, scalable Oracle HCM solutions
- Configuration and extension of Redwood pages and Journeys (including onboarding and offboarding) using VB Studio Express
- Ticket Governance & Managed Services Oversight
- End to end control of support tickets and enhancement demand via a formal ticketing model
- Partnering closely with an AMS provider to assess, prioritise, design, deliver, and validate changes
- Driving sustainable solutions and continuous improvement, not just ticket closure
- Testing, Releases & Quality Control
- Coordinating system, regression, and release testing
- Managing Oracle quarterly release impacts and deployment readiness
- Ensuring changes are well documented, controlled, and low risk
- Providing visibility on platform health, demand, risks, and dependencies
Required Experience
- Extensive hands on Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM experience (typically 8+ years)
- Strong configuration expertise across Core HR, T&L, Absence, Recruiting, Redwood and Journeys
- Proven experience operating in a live, global Oracle HCM environment
- Experience with Redwood UI extension and Journeys configuration
- Strong understanding of Oracle HCM architecture and dependencies
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) knowledge advantageous
