Insurance 12 Month FTC London - Hybrid working £90,000-100,000 PA Start ASAP JSS are working with a leading global specialty insurer for a maternity cover to support the UK Head of Finance and senior finance leadership in the preparation, review, and submission of statutory, regulatory, and board reporting. The role also supports the management of the external audit process and oversees delivery through a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual regulatory returns, including Solvency II and US reporting
- Produce annual statutory accounts and Solvency II narrative reports
- Coordinate and contribute to quarterly board reporting
- Support and manage the external audit process, working closely with auditors
- Own reporting timelines, quality, review, sign-off and submission
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with internal teams including Finance, Actuarial, Compliance, Internal Audit and Underwriting
- Liaise with external advisers and auditors as required
Decision-Making & Influence
- Provides input into capital-related decisions
- Acts as a key reviewer and subject-matter expert for regulatory and financial reporting matters
Personal Profile
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CAANZ or qualified by experience accountants with extensive experience in Solvency II reporting within a specialty insurance background.
- Able to manage and develop junior team members.
- Confident operating independently with auditors and regulatory bodies with sound judgement.
- Proactive, structured and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
