The JSS Group is a specialist recruitment business — technology, transformation, professional services — operating across two continents following the acquisition of Intaso and the launch of our US office. We're building the operational foundations to match our ambitions. We're looking for an Operations & Compliance Lead to own the day-to-day operational engine of the business. Contracts, compliance, governance, offshore service quality, and the consultant experience — this is your remit. You'll report directly to the Executive Director and work alongside a RevOps & Projects Lead as part of the new PMO leadership.

What you'll own:

  • Contract production, terms of business reviews, and Docusign processes
  • Compliance across the contractor lifecycle — IR35, right-to-work, AWR, umbrella oversight, renewals
  • The operations manual and SOPs for UK and offshore teams
  • Daily connection with the Sri Lanka operations team — quality, escalations, process
  • Front inbox tool — service levels, turnaround times, continuous improvement
  • Office management, new starter onboarding, and events
  • Bullhorn process discipline and data quality

Who you are:

You know recruitment operations from the inside — contractor lifecycle, IR35, compliance, contracts. You're organised, process-led, and genuinely care about service quality. You build trust quickly with consultants, offshore colleagues, and senior stakeholders, and you have the judgement to know when to decide and when to escalate.

Essential:

  • Recruitment ops background (contractor lifecycle, IR35, compliance)
  • Hands-on Bullhorn experience
  • Proven compliance and governance ownership
  • Offshore team management
  • Strong stakeholder management

Desirable:

  • Front or comparable inbox tool
  • Smartsheet
  • US compliance familiarity
  • Events management
  • Process redesign experience

The offer:

A senior individual contributor role with real ownership and broad business exposure — at a business that's growing fast and backing its people to lead. Flexible hybrid, 2–3 days in the office.
