We are partnering with a growing insurance business in London looking to hire a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, gaining broad exposure across management accounting, reporting, business partnering, and month-end processes.

The role will suit someone currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA and looking to further their experience within the insurance or wider financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting
  • Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepayments, intercompany, and reclassifications
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Prepare cash flow reporting and support treasury-related activities
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Support external audit processes and provide required documentation
  • Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements where required
  • Analyse financial data and provide commentary on business performance
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and finance transformation projects
  • Support ad hoc finance projects and reporting requests from senior stakeholders
Candidate Profile:
  • Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
  • Previous experience within a management accounting or finance role
  • Insurance or financial services experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
