We are partnering with a large, complex, matrixed organisation undergoing a significant business transformation, creating an opportunity for an experienced HR Data Analyst to join a high-profile programme team. This role sits at the heart of a large-scale organisational change initiative, providing critical workforce data, reporting, and analytical insight that enables informed decision-making across multiple business functions. Working alongside HR, Finance, Programme Management and senior business leaders, you will ensure that people data is accurate, compliant, and readily available to support the successful delivery of transformation activity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large and complex workforce datasets, producing executive-level reporting, maintaining programme data integrity, and supporting the tracking of workforce costs and programme benefits. Key Responsibilities- HR Data Management & Governance
- Take ownership of all workforce data relating to the transformation programme, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and maintain complex people data trackers, reflecting organisational structures, employee movements and role changes.
- Validate, reconcile and cleanse large volumes of workforce data, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Ensure data is maintained in line with GDPR and internal governance standards.
- Work with HR systems and multiple data sources to ensure programme information remains aligned with live employee records.
- Continuously review and improve data processes, templates and reporting tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Reporting & Workforce Analytics
- Produce regular executive-level reporting, dashboards and management information packs that provide clear visibility of programme progress and key workforce metrics.
- Develop insightful reporting that supports programme governance, implementation milestones and organisational readiness.
- Deliver bespoke workforce analysis and reporting to HR, Finance, Programme teams and senior stakeholders.
- Interpret complex datasets and translate findings into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
- Monitor programme progress through key performance indicators and workforce metrics, highlighting risks, trends and opportunities.
- Support post-implementation reporting to measure programme outcomes and effectiveness.
- Programme Support
- Work closely with Programme Managers to ensure workforce data accurately reflects organisational design decisions throughout the transformation.
- Support planning activities by providing accurate workforce information for consultation, implementation and organisational change activities.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for workforce analysis to support business decision-making.
- Ensure programme data is prepared for transition into business-as-usual processes following implementation.
- Financial & Benefits Analysis
- Partner with Finance teams to track workforce costs, programme savings and benefits realisation.
- Maintain accurate cost reporting across multiple business areas.
- Support financial reconciliation activities by validating workforce data against programme assumptions.
- Investigate and resolve workforce cost queries, ensuring reporting remains accurate and up to date.
- Provide ongoing analysis of financial impacts resulting from organisational change.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build effective working relationships with HR, Finance, Programme Management and senior operational leaders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for workforce data queries, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Present workforce insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Influence decision-making through accurate reporting and evidence-based recommendations.
- Collaborate across multiple business functions within a highly matrixed environment to ensure successful programme delivery.

- Previous experience within an HR Data Analyst, People Analytics, Workforce Planning or HR Reporting position.
- Experience working within large, complex and highly matrixed organisations.
- Strong understanding of HR data, organisational structures and workforce reporting.
- Proven ability to manage large, sensitive datasets with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience producing reports, dashboards and management information for senior leadership teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work across multiple business functions.
- Experience partnering with Finance to support workforce costs, budgeting or benefits tracking.
- Excellent understanding of GDPR and data governance principles.

- Knowledge of HRIS platforms such as SAP, Workday or similar systems.
- Experience developing dashboards using Power BI.
