JSS Tax are hiring for a Group Tax Manager for a leading non-profit organisation based in Central London (supporting hybrid working). This is a permanent role paying circa £90k-£100k plus benefits package.
Reporting into the CFO and forming part of the finance leadership team, the Group Tax Manager will take ownership of all direct and indirect tax affairs that affect the business globally. Working across the organisation, you’ll provide thoughtful, values-driven tax leadership—supporting colleagues, guiding decision-making, and helping embed strong governance and ethical standards in everything we do.
What You’ll Do- Take ownership of all tax matters across the group, acting as a trusted advisor and central point of expertise.
- Lead corporation tax compliance, reporting, and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with best practice.
- Oversee VAT compliance and advisory matters, navigating complex areas such as partial exemption.
- Provide guidance on employment and payroll taxes, supporting fair and compliant treatment of our people.
- Develop and embed robust tax governance, controls, and risk management processes that reflect our commitment to accountability and public trust.
- Work collaboratively with teams across finance, HR, legal, operations, and beyond to provide clear, practical tax advice that supports organisational goals.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with HMRC and external advisors, ensuring open, professional engagement.
- Contribute to projects and strategic initiatives - bringing a tax perspective that balances compliance, risk, and purpose.
- Stay ahead of legislative and regulatory changes, helping the organisation respond thoughtfully and responsibly.
