I'm currently partnering with a high-growth, consumer-facing business to appoint a Group Financial Controller to join their leadership team during an exciting phase of growth and transformation. Operating across multiple channels, the business has built a highly regarded brand and continues to scale both in the UK and internationally. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a finance team whilst taking ownership of the Group's financial control environment, reporting processes and finance operations.

This is a highly visible role with genuine exposure to senior leadership and the wider business. You will be responsible for ensuring the finance function delivers robust financial reporting, strong controls and meaningful commercial insight to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a finance team of six
  • Owning the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Producing monthly management accounts, board packs and KPI reporting
  • Managing cash flow, working capital and balance sheet integrity
  • Overseeing statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance
  • Driving improvements in finance systems, controls, automation and reporting processes
  • Partnering with operational and commercial teams to improve performance and decision-making
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities

About You

We're looking for a technically strong finance leader who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • Proven experience leading finance teams
  • Strong financial control, reporting and compliance expertise
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience improving processes, systems and controls within a growing business
  • A collaborative, commercially minded approach
  • Experience within consumer brands, retail, e-commerce, hospitality, FMCG or other multi-site environments would be highly advantageous.
