We are partnering with a leading international entertainment business to appoint a Head of Learning & Development. Our client is a highly successful, publicly listed organisation with over 2,500 employees globally and a strong presence across multiple international markets. Following continued growth and investment in their people agenda, they are seeking an experienced L&D leader to shape and deliver a global learning and capability strategy.

This is a high-impact leadership role, offering the opportunity to influence organisational capability at scale whilst leading a globally dispersed team of seven Learning & Development Partners. This role would suit an experienced Learning & Development leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution capability and has experience operating within complex, international environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Learning & Capability
    • Develop and implement a global Learning & Development strategy aligned to organisational priorities and growth objectives.
    • Partner with executive and senior leadership teams to identify capability requirements and future skills needs.
    • Build a comprehensive learning framework supporting career development, succession planning and organisational effectiveness.
  • Leadership Development
    • Design and oversee leadership development programmes across all leadership levels.
    • Create development pathways for high-potential talent and succession candidates.
  • Learning Programme Delivery
    • Oversee the design, implementation and evaluation of global learning solutions.
    • Ensure programmes remain innovative, scalable and aligned to evolving business needs.
    • Leverage technology and modern learning methodologies to enhance engagement and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on learning, capability and development matters.
    • Influence decision-making and secure buy-in for strategic learning initiatives.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, develop and coach a team of seven Learning & Development Partners based across multiple international locations.
    • Create a high-performing, collaborative and commercially focused L&D function.
Candidate Profile
  • Significant Learning & Development leadership experience within a large, complex and international organisation.
  • Experience developing and delivering enterprise-wide learning and capability strategies.
  • A proven track record of leading geographically dispersed L&D teams.
  • Strong expertise in leadership development, organisational capability and talent development.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to connect learning investment to business performance.
  • Experience managing learning budgets, external providers and learning technology platforms.
  • A data-driven approach to measuring impact and driving continuous improvement.
