We are partnering with a well-known business based in West London to appoint a People Operations Director. This is a senior leadership opportunity with a broad remit across People Operations, Shared Services, Reward, Payroll and People Analytics. Sitting on the People Leadership Team and partnering closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for evolving the People operating model and ensuring the organisation has scalable, efficient and employee-focused services to support its continued development.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Shape and modernise how People services are delivered across the business, creating a simpler, more joined-up experience for employees and managers.
  • Lead a broad programme of People transformation, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve ways of working and make better use of technology, automation and AI.
  • Oversee a portfolio of specialist People functions, including reward, payroll, mobility and HR systems, ensuring they operate effectively across an international organisation.
  • Turn People data into meaningful business insight, giving senior leaders better visibility of workforce trends and supporting more informed decision-making.
  • Build capability across the People Services function, developing high-performing teams, strengthening accountability and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

About you

We are looking for an established senior People Operations / Services leader who has operated within a complex, international and matrixed organisation. You will ideally bring experience across several of the following areas:

  • Building, scaling or transforming People/HR Shared Services and operating models.
  • Leading significant HR transformation and process improvement programmes.
  • Strong HR technology exposure, ideally including Workday.
  • Oversight of Reward, international payroll and/or global mobility.
  • Using people data and analytics to improve decision-making and organisational effectiveness.
  • Leading sizeable specialist teams and influencing senior stakeholders through periods of change.
