A leading UK-based organisation is seeking an ambitious Finance Analyst to join its growing finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with data, influencing business decisions and delivering meaningful financial insights. Operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment, you will partner with stakeholders across multiple business areas, helping drive performance through robust financial reporting, analysis and forecasting.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting forecasting processes and providing valuable insights that help business leaders make informed decisions.

The role offers broad exposure across management accounting, financial analysis, stakeholder engagement and process improvement, making it ideal for someone looking to accelerate their development within a dynamic commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end accounting and reporting activities.
  • Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, income and expenditure adjustments.
  • Produce monthly management reports, financial analysis and performance commentary.
  • Support revenue reporting, billing processes and financial reconciliations.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring strong financial controls and compliance.
  • Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand business performance and key financial drivers.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities through insightful analysis and challenge.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities through detailed trend analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and enhance reporting capabilities through the effective use of Power BI and other analytical tools.
  • Support finance systems improvements and process optimisation initiatives.

What We're Looking For

An ambitious and self-motivated finance professional who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent analytical skills. The successful candidate will be analytically driven, highly motivated and eager to develop their career.

You'll be naturally curious, commercially aware and comfortable working with large data sets to identify trends, opportunities and risks.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Part-qualified or qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
  • Experience within a finance analyst, management accounting or financial accounting role.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong experience producing financial reports, journals and reconciliations.
  • Demonstrable Power BI experience, including dashboard development, reporting and data visualisation.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including working with large and complex datasets.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive, self-starting approach with a desire to continuously improve processes and reporting.
