JSS Tax are hiring for a Tax Accountant for a leading Automotive company based in Milton Keynes.
This is a permanent full-time role paying circa £30k-£40k plus benefits package including full study support.
In this newly-created role working closely with the Head of Tax and Group Tax Manager, the Tax Accountant will take on a varied role supporting on both direct and indirect taxes.
Responsibilities include:
- Corporation tax computations – work with the Accountants and Financial Controllers to prepare the computations and maintain detailed supporting files.
- Corporation tax interim payments – Prepare detailed calculations for the quarterly instalment payments to ensure payments are accurate and timely
- VAT Return - prepare and submit the quarterly VAT return and arrange payment for the UK group.
- VAT Queries - provide support to the retailer sites with VAT free sales queries, and general, ad hoc VAT queries.
- PSA - prepare and submit the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement return, and arrange payment of the tax due.
- External audits – liaise with Deloitte to provide samples, answer queries and attend meetings to ensure clean audit sign-off.
- Internal audits –work with internal auditors to provide samples and resolve and queries for the bi-annual SOX compliance audit carried out by the US internal audit team.
- Statutory accounts tax disclosures – prepare detailed tax calculations and disclosures for inclusion in the statutory financial statements.
- Support the wider tax team with ongoing projects
The role would suit someone looking to get into a tax role for the first time, or for someone with some basic corporate tax / VAT experience who is looking to take on broader tax responsibilities.
